Well, if you want to make your break productive, that is. (For the record, there’s nothing wrong with chilling out and taking the break you’ve earned after all the hard work you’ve done so far this semester.)

However, if you’re up for a little more than nursing a food baby, CNBC put together 7 ideas for getting a little more from your time off. Here they are:

  1. Host a Friendsgiving
  2. Read a book
  3. Binge a podcast
  4. Review your finances
  5. Collect your family history
  6. Volunteer
  7. Be thankful (well, yeah)

FCC PLANS TO REPEAL NET NEUTRALITY RULES

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) revealed a plan Tuesday that would repeal Obama-era regulations and give Internet providers the power to determine what websites and services its customers can see and use.

The Washington Post reports, “Under the agency’s proposal, providers of high-speed Internet services, such as Comcast, Verizon and AT&T, would be able to block websites they do not like and charge Web companies for speedier delivery of their content.”

The FCC’s efforts would roll back regulations it’s Democrats passed in 2015 that made sure all Web content would be treated equally. This repeal would also be one of the bigger deregulatory efforts by Republicans under Trump’s presidency.

Here’s a video overview of Net Neutrality.

400 PROFESSORS URGE STUDENTS AVOID THE UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER

CBS News is reporting this morning that “Hundreds of professors and educators are urging students not apply to the University of Rochester due to the school’s mishandling of sexual harassment allegations involving one of it’s star faculty members. ”

The report details that “more than 400 professors and educators signed a letter — addressed to the university’s Board of Trustees — which states their concern about President Seligman’s failure to ‘adequately respond to claims of predatory and manipulative behavior’ that were allegedly demonstrated by Professor Florian Jaeger.”

Jaeger allegedly hosted parties, used drugs and was involved with other illegal behavior with students. Faculty members who complained about his behavior were allegedly retaliated against by the university.

THIS DONALD TRUMP-LAVAR BALL FEUD IS SO RIDICULOUS

Totally ridiculous. (Image: Twitter/NBC)

We’ll dish it (see what we did there?) over to NBC News for the details on this one:

“President Donald Trump on Wednesday escalated his feud with the father of one of the three UCLA basketball players who was detained in China on suspicion of shoplifting, calling him a “fool.”

LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo Ball, has brushed off Trump’s role in securing his son’s release from China last week, provoking a fiery response from the president.

‘It wasn’t the White House, it wasn’t the State Department, it wasn’t father LaVar’s so-called people on the ground in China that got his son out of a long term prison sentence – IT WAS ME,’ Trump tweeted early Wednesday. ‘Too bad! LaVar is just a poor man’s version of Don King, but without the hair.’”

The more ridiculous this gets, the more fun its likely to be.
